I have many children and adult that come into my clinic and they wonder if they have a certain food allergy. They feel that their mouth itches, their mouth tingles, sometimes their lips swell or they might get hives around their mouth. And this happens when eating certain foods. It may happen with apples, bananas, melons, a cucumber, a whole slew of foods. And many times, we think that this is food allergy. Actually, it’s not food allergy, It’s an allergy to the pollen. So working on our environment and taking care of our pollen allergy can actually help improve our symptoms that we may be having with certain food sensitivities.
